How the deposit works
The security deposit depends on the vehicle category; its amount is shown before you book. Two ways to pay it: online after booking, from your booking details or the tracking page, where it is charged via ClickToPay; or at pick-up, by pre-authorisation on any bank card (credit or debit) at a payment terminal, or in cash. Without a compliant deposit, keys may be refused. Check your available limit before travel. The deposit is not a hidden add-on to the daily rate: its refund, after the car is returned, follows the agency’s contract.
Excess: what you might still pay
The excess is your remaining share if a covered claim occurs. Even with basic insurance, damage may lead to charges up to the contractual excess. Read amounts on the vehicle page and terms. An excess-reduction option, when offered, lowers residual risk for a fee. Events outside cover can go beyond a simple excess.
Mandatory basic insurance included
Basic insurance is mandatory in Tunisia, so it is always included in the agency contract. Excess and exclusions (glass, tyres, rims, underbody) depend on the agency contract. Keep the written detail given at pick-up. After an accident, follow the process and contact our team with your booking code. Before paying, the summary total is your reference.
Options and good habits
If excess reduction is offered, weigh its cost against rental length and how comfortable you are driving in Tunisian cities. Photograph the car at departure and return. Respect the agreed fuel level. Do not hand the wheel to an undeclared driver.
Claims and disputes
