Detailed answers on guest booking, secure TND card payment, 48h cancellation, flight-synced airport transfers, VIP chauffeur, and rental documents in Tunisia.
- Basic insurance included
- 48h cancellation
- 100% secure payment
Booking
- First pick the right service: car rental, airport transfer or VIP chauffeur from the T-GO home page. Enter the place, dates and time (defaults to 10:00 if you leave it blank), then compare options priced in Tunisian dinars (TND). The total shown on the offer or vehicle page is the same total you will see at checkout — no last-minute display mismatch. You finish as a guest: name, email and phone are enough. A booking code is sent by email and SMS so you can track or change your trip.
- No. Guest booking is the main flow on thunder-tgo.com: you do not need to register to rent a car, book an airport transfer or a chauffeur. Your details are only used to confirm the service and reach you on the day. The booking code (PNR) sent by email and SMS replaces a customer area for tracking, cancellation or support. You can create an account later without blocking your first booking.
- Yes. In the booking funnel, the Traveller step lets you enter the details of the person who will actually use the service — transfer passenger, rental driver or VIP guest. That traveller receives the booking code and reminders. Make sure the phone can be reached on arrival (especially for airport transfers) and that the name matches the documents shown at pick-up. You can book from abroad for a relative travelling in Tunisia.
Payment
- We accept Visa, Mastercard and CB cards for secure online payment. Amounts are shown and charged in TND according to the total confirmed at checkout. Card payment goes through a secure bank page: your card data never passes through our servers. Other methods (cash, transfer), if any, depend on the product and the conditions shown when you book — if unsure, contact support before confirming.
- Yes. Card payments use an encrypted bank checkout page. T-GO does not store your full card number. Once the booking is confirmed, you receive a summary and a tracking code. If the bank payment fails, no charge is kept for an unconfirmed booking. For any statement issue, keep your PNR and contact our team with the date and amount on your confirmation.
- Your card is charged only when the booking is actually confirmed. If payment fails or you leave before confirmation, nothing is taken for that attempt. The total shown before payment (daily rental, transfer flat rate, VIP time bands) matches the checkout amount; the back office may recalculate under business rules, but your confirmation email remains the customer reference. Keep that email until the service ends.
Cancellation
- Yes. Cancel from the link in your email or via the Tracking page with your booking code and matching contact. Free cancellation applies under the conditions shown (generally up to 48 hours before start). After that, fees may apply under the general terms. Cancel as soon as plans change to avoid unnecessary fees, especially in high season or for flight-synced transfers.
- “48h cancellation” means you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the service starts (rental pick-up, transfer time, VIP start). The countdown uses the start time on your confirmation. Within 48 hours, cancellation may be partial or paid under the current policy. For cancelled flights or force majeure, contact support with your PNR: each case is reviewed individually.
- No fees if you cancel more than 48 hours before start under standard T-GO policy. Within that window, rental or transfer terms apply and fees may be retained. Any fee and refund amount depend on the cancellation channel (online tracking or assistance). Read the summary and terms before paying, especially for airport round trips or long rentals.
Airport transfer
- When booking an airport transfer, enter your flight number (e.g. TU 1234). We use it to follow published schedules and adjust pick-up if arrival changes. The driver is informed of the new estimated time; you usually do not need to call for a typical delay as long as the flight stays identifiable. An exact number and a reachable phone after landing remain essential. Without a flight number, pick-up follows the time you entered manually, with no automatic adjustment.
- If you entered a flight number, tracking adapts to the new schedule: the driver adjusts arrival at no extra cost for a usual flight delay, within included waiting time (up to 60 minutes after landing under the terms). Keep your phone on after arrival and follow meeting-point instructions. For major postponements, cancellations or airport changes, contact support immediately with your booking code to reorganise the trip.
- Yes. On the Airport transfer page, choose Round trip: the flat rate covers both legs (airport ↔ destination) at the price shown for that option. Enter arrival and return times, plus the flight number when known. The round-trip total is what checkout shows — not a surprise double charge. If only the return changes, use tracking or support rather than creating two inconsistent bookings.
VIP
- T-GO VIP pairs a professional driver with a premium vehicle for hourly hire, business transfer or events. Comfort, discretion and punctuality are core; extras (drinks, meet & greet) depend on the package shown. Pricing is hourly in bands (1–2h, 3–6h, 7–12h): longer hire lowers the effective hourly rate. The total for the selected duration is reused at checkout. VIP may temporarily show as coming soon depending on product rollout.
- VIP price depends on booked duration, split into bands: 1–2 hours, 3–6 hours and 7–12 hours. Each band has a flat or derived rate aligned with catalogue price_tiers. When you change duration (h= parameter), the displayed total updates and must match checkout. It is not a per-kilometre rental: hire covers the driver’s time for the selected service. Always check the TND total before paying.
- Yes. Select Chauffeur hire as the VIP service type: the driver stays with you for the whole booked duration under the displayed conditions. It suits business days, events or multiple stops. State the pick-up place clearly and a reachable contact. For a one-off airport ride, the fixed-rate airport transfer is often a better fit than a long hire.
Rental & documents
- At vehicle pick-up, a deposit is required on a credit card in the main driver’s name. The amount and hold method (pre-authorisation or temporary charge) depend on the vehicle and supplier terms; they are confirmed before departure. The deposit covers possible damage, excesses or missing items under the contract. It is released after the car is returned in good condition, subject to usual bank delays. Bring a valid card: without a compliant deposit, keys may be refused.
- A valid driving licence held for at least two years is required for every driver on the contract. Foreign visitors must present a recognised licence or an international permit according to nationality, plus a valid ID or passport. Documents must be physical and readable on the day. If a second driver is planned, prepare their papers when booking. If unsure about licence recognition, contact support before you travel.
- The minimum age is 21, with a licence held for at least two years. Some categories (premium, vans) may require a higher age or longer licence history: those rules appear in the rental conditions. The main driver must match the card used for the deposit. Extra drivers, if allowed, must meet the same criteria. Plan document checks early to avoid refusal at hand-over.
- Basic insurance is included in the displayed rental offers under the contract terms. It may not cover every case (excess, tyres, underbody, negligence): read the vehicle page and terms. Excess-reduction options may exist depending on the supplier. After an incident, follow the stated process (report, photos, assistance) and keep your booking code. T-GO support can guide you, but the rental contract remains the legal reference.
- Unless your contract says otherwise, return the car with the same fuel level as at pick-up (often full-to-full). A shortfall may be charged for missing fuel plus service fees. Check the level together at departure and keep a dashboard photo. During the rental, use any station you like; keep receipts if a dispute arises. Electric or hybrid cars, if offered, follow the specific hand-over instructions.
